Meet Linda Williams, who leads Accounts and Administration at SILA Bangalore. Delving deep into what inspires her, and drives her ahead at work.

In her own words:

What is your role in SILA?

My role focuses primarily on handling entire Administration and Accounts department for Bangalore City catering to SILA, Mr. Homecare and Envocare.

Envocare, I look into only Debtors Reco and Collections. At times, I do the Induction process as well, if instructed by HR for Bangalore New Joinees – White Collar Only. Also, I support the Bangalore Operations Team headed by Raghav , Saarang Ganapathi, Durgegowda, Rajesh Venkat and Janardhan.

Tell us about your background. How does it help you in the work you do?

I am a Graduate in Electronics from Mount Carmel College, followed by an MBA – Finance & HR from C.V Raman University.

My qualification and 15 long years of relevant experience in Tata Group of Companies, MNC Audit Firm and India Medtronic and Esterline Corporation add value to any start-up ventures in terms of Process and Procedures and streamlining business in line with the Government Policies as well as contributing to profit for the company.

How has your career path been?

As mentioned in the previous answer, I have always worked with top management in all my Organizations. After a few stops working in different types of ventures, I wanted to work more closely with the company where I can add value to start-up ventures in terms of Processes and Procedures.

I do not believe in changing companies based on the Package. I have quit companies on my own accord due to poor health on tremendous travel which does not suit me. I believe in dedication towards work and commitment towards the company.

Which have been some of the most challenging moments in SILA?

There are a couple. It has been really interesting to work for SILA and MHC. Over the past two years, a lot of processes and procedures have been set w.r.t Accounts and Office Administration which themselves are very challenging enough, and things are in place now.

It’s easy to focus on my role knowing there’s a concrete structure around me now. Thanks to my lovely team.

How do you maintain your work life balance?

Since I am a mother of two grown ups who are quite Independent, and have a very loving and supporting husband – who believes in Woman Empowerment and Freedom, it is my main strength which drives day in and day out.

“My family has been my biggest strength so far.”

My Son works for TR as Finance Analyst and is planning to go abroad for his higher studies and he is a very great strength for me and so is my Daughter who is going to 9th Grade. Let’s say – there is also a man behind a woman’s success.

How has your journey been in SILA?

I label myself as a workaholic and cherish every moment I work be it for SILA, Mr. Homecare and Envocare.
